ASSOC PROF DR Baris Demiriz

I graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2001. I became a general surgery specialist in Istanbul Bakirkoy Dr Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital in 2007. I did my Bariatric Surgery subspecialty at the University of Michigan. I worked in the field of Bariatric Surgery at Bristol University Hospital in England. I worked on modified sleeve gastrectomy surgery with the President of the World Association of Obesity Surgery. Then I became the founder of the first obesity surgery clinic in Turkey. I have performed over 10,000 successful surgeries to date. My special areas of interest are Modified Sleeve Gastrectomy, Revision Baritric Surgery, Diabetes Surgery and no-vomiting gastric balloon applications.
